As part of the 2025 Barcelona Architecture Weeks, we organized an event showcasing the Speculative Urban Futures (SUrF) research project, co-funded by Erasmus+. The first part featured presentations by international teams introducing five speculative design methodologies developed since 2023. These pedagogical tools aim to rethink urban futures through creative, forward-thinking approaches that can be applied in academic, civic, and professional contexts.

Following the presentations, participants engaged in an experimental lunch activity designed to stimulate collective reflection and exchange. Divided into cooking and writing stations, participants alternated between preparing food and annotating ideas, questions, and associations about the concepts written on the tablecloth. The activity turned the table into a space of dialogue, speculation, and co-creation.
