This series taken in 2020 capture New York City city a few weeks pre COVID pandemic. Taken while I was studying there and exploring the city for the first time.

This work is a patchwork of analog photographs taken during a single day in New York City, shortly after I moved there. It captures the city’s chaos and beauty through overlapping images and unexpected connections. Captures fleeting impressions of urban life in blurred lights, monuments, nature, water, energy motion. All stitched together through a mix of chance and intention.
The texture is layered and chaotic, like the city itself. At first, the light leaks were unintended, but they ended up linking the fragments together in a powerful way. They became a visual thread, connecting different moments and places, like how I navigated the new shifting environments.
